Septina Dian Larasati

She is appointed as an Early Stage Researcher (ESR) at Tilde SIA at Riga, Latvia, for the period of 21 months starting from August 1, 2011 till April 30, 2013. She is currently also a PhD student at Charles University in Prague.

Current Research

Her current research as an ESR is in translation tools and resources for under-resourced languages. She explores and investigates the possibilities to facilitate translation tools (mainly SMT systems) and resources development for languages that currently have limited translation technologies and resources.
Her current research for her doctoral study is development of tools and language resources for Indonesian and its application on SMT system.

  • Master Degree: Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and Charles University in Prague, 2008-2010 (under Erasmus Mundus LCT Scholarship Program), with thesis topic “Rule-Based Machine Translation of Related Austronesian Languages”
